Play HexLock in two minutes
HexLock is 500 boxes, each locked under a chained cloth for one week. Everyone taps together to break one seal a day. You do not need a wallet to play.
- Open a box. Tap Find my chair to list the boxes your wallet holds (connecting only reads your wallet; nothing is sent), or type any number from 1 to 500. You can play on any box. You do not have to own it.
- Tap it. Tap the cloth, rattle the chains, press the seals, or grab the box and throw it. Every touch counts.
- Watch the count move. The number on the box is everyone's touches toward today's goal. It is live: it moves when anyone, anywhere, touches any box. Your touches go into it too.
That is it. Everything below is for when you want to know more.
The seal and the daily goal
- Each day has one goal. Day one's goal is 100,000 touches. Later goals follow how the days before went, and always stay between 50,000 and 2,000,000.
- Reach the goal and that day's seal breaks. It never breaks sooner than 3 hours into the day. The day still lasts 24 hours, and touches after the goal still count for your box.
- Miss the goal and the seal still breaks when the day ends, but it leaves a scar on the cloth and the next day starts 6 hours late. Delays add up to one extra day at most.
- Seven seals, then the fire. When day seven ends, the cloth burns and every box becomes ready to reveal. Its owner reveals it, or sells it sealed.
The limits, in plain numbers
| What | Limit |
| Your taps, per internet connection (your Wi-Fi or your phone's network) | 240 a minute and 3,000 an hour. On a box whose owner holds Stray Cucks, up to 5,000 an hour, never more. |
| A box's own score from taps | 2,000 an hour, plus 1,000 an hour for every Stray Cuck the box's owner holds |
| Past a limit | Past your connection's limit, your hands get tired for a moment and extra taps do not count. Past a box's limit, taps still count for the day's goal, just not for that box. |
The Armory
A Tenant can lend a box a weapon: ROCKS or a 2x4. While a box is armed, every hand tap on it counts x1.5, for the seal and for the box's score. The limits above still count your real taps. Open Boosts on a box's page to find the Armory.
- One free weapon per box per game day. Anyone can claim it, and it lasts 1 hour. Each internet connection can arm at most 3 boxes a game day.
- Tips arm it too. A tip under $1 lends ROCKS; $1 and up lends the 2x4. A tip adds 1 hour, and from $2 one hour per whole dollar ($5 is 5 hours). A weapon never runs more than 6 hours ahead.
- A game day is the seal's day, not the clock's. If a day starts late, the waiting hours already belong to the coming day.
- The Armory can be paused. A pause stops new weapons; weapons already lent keep running.
Chair Power (for Stray Cucks holders)
Every Stray Cuck carries free blasts you can fire at any box. It is one blast at a time from the Chair Power button, not a boost to your taps.
- Charges: a chair with a sitter has 1, an empty seat has 2. Each spent charge comes back 12 hours after it was used.
- Each charge is worth 0.4% of the day's goal (400 touches on a 100,000 goal) for the box you send it to.
- How: open a box's page in your wallet app's browser, tap Chair Power, connect, pick boxes and charges, and sign. It is a signature, not a transaction: no gas, and nothing leaves your wallet. It does not work inside OpenSea.
- Free blasts can fill at most 30% of a day's goal, and 40% on days six and seven (that extra can help the room reach Overdrive). The rest has to come from everyone.
Check any chair's charges
