A chair under a white sheet beneath a neon sign: Just A Chair Company

Just A Chair Company presents

Day One Report

One day, one sheet, nearly five times the goal. Here is what the room did.

The goal for day one was 100,000 touches. The room hit it before most of America woke up, then kept going for nineteen more hours and finished at 490,503. That is nearly five times over, on the first day, with nobody explaining what the chair was.

The numbers that matter

Who played

The shape of the day

The chart tells the story. A slow start in the small hours, a huge morning surge that broke the seal, a long afternoon of steady play, and then a climb all evening, every hour bigger than the last, into the burn at midnight. Nobody had to be told the sheet was coming off. They could feel it.

The board

The top of the board is real and it is earned. The middle is wide open: most of the 500 chairs have barely been touched. One good night of tapping, a few tips, or one cuck volley moves a chair a long way.

Six seals left. It is just a chair.
